Daniela, a native of Hanover, Germany, was fortunate to study with arts and craft educators, from a young age, that led her to develop an interdisciplinary artistic oeuvre, with an emphasis on ceramics, sculpture, fiber arts, photography and jewelry.

​

Mark grew up in the restaurant business as his parents owned and operated an eatery that featured traditional New England cooking. Later on he enjoyed a career as a chef throughout the United States and then abroad in the Virgin Islands, Belize, Germany, the Netherlands, Greece, Sweden and Tunisia. After returning to his native Massachusetts, Mark ran an award winning cooking school before deciding to focus full time on painting and, along with Daniela, creating Artepus.
